It's been over 20 years since I began this journey into the world of visual storytelling and animation. I learnt drawing fundamentals and traditional animation and after working in different studios I realised I didn't want to draw just for money. I wanted to tell stories. Stories that relate back to my culture.
Being a Maori/Niuean artist growing up without much of the culture due to colonisation I feel cultural revitalisation and amplifying the voices of marginalised people to be my main goal as a creative.
